Lounge Chair

A lounge chair composed of a leather sling, suspended within a steel framework. The sling is made from two layers of leather that are precisely cut from flat patterns and sewn together. These are lifted into space by the steel frame to create the compound curvature of the seating surface. Wooden rests integrate seamlessly with the frame adding warmth and a comfort to the chair’s rational structure.

The char was developed for Værktøj 3, where all of the works exhibited were created using a sewing machine.
